Training Description
This workshop will provide clinical supervisors with an approved six hour workshop on clinical supervision, broken into two 3 hour sessions. The workshops will provide several models of clinical supervision, as well as a framework for applying clinical supervision to community mental health practice. The workshops will also include self-care practices in the context of clinical supervision during the coronavirus pandemic. The workshop will be applicable to Clinical Supervisors who are licensed as a LCSW, MFT, LPCC or Clinical Psychologist.
Learning Objectives
- Understanding of a framework for applying clinical supervision to community mental health practice.
- Understanding of the purposes of individual and group clinical supervision in community mental health.
- Knowledge of models of clinical supervision.
- Ability to professional engage supervisees and enhance their learning.

Meet Our Trainer
Matthew Madaus is an LCSW with over 30 years of experience in the behavioral health field. He has held senior manager and executive positions, as well as manager and clinical roles and he has taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has developed clinical models and designed numerous programs to serve the highest need youth and families in a wide range of treatment environments, in both California and Massachusetts. Matt is currently a consultant to staff and senior managers at child-serving agencies.
This TWO DAY LONG course meets the qualifications for (6) BBS CEUs for LCSWs and MFTs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences & is provided by Fred Finch Youth Center, CAMFT Provider #045295.
